Elefull Super USB3.0 USB Flash Drive high speed Added Free Micro USB/ OTG Adapter

Needed a cheap USB pen drive for my travels and this seemed to fit the bill. I was a little dubious about it’s USB 3.0 speeds, and so I put it through a number of tests.  All the results of which are detailed below. Here is where to find it: Product Link

Build
——————–
It’s a USB drive, it seems to be well made. I have been throwing it into my bag with keys and coins, and it’s come out fine. Looks like it will stand the test of time!

Speed
——————–
This is the main area for a USB drive, it does not really matter how it looks, but how quick it works. I ran a bunch of tests on the drive using speed test utilities. The outcomes for a couple of the tests have been attached to the review as screenshots. But the text version is below. I also test a USB 2.0 Pen Drive on the same 3.0 port using the same application.

Elefull Drive –
32bit Application
WRITE: 19.07mb/sec
READ: 99.34 mb/sec

64bit Application
WRITE: 19.01 mb/sec
READ: 99.34 mb/sec

Toshiba Drive –
32bit Application
WRITE: 4.22 mb/sec
READ:31.75 mb/sec

64bit Application
WRITE: 4.29 mb/sec
READ: 31.76 mb/sec

After a few tests, I thought it was a little unfair on the Toshiba, so I attached the Elefull drive to a USB 2.0 port, I know what you’re thinking, but it was fine. The numbers are still very good.

Elefull
32bit Application
WRITE: 14.62 mb/sec
READ: 31.82 mb/sec

64bit Application
WRITE: 14.33 mb/sec
READ: 31.82 mb/sec

Applications
——————–
Just in case you are wondering, the two applications used were: USBDEVIEW and FLASHBENCH. I only published the findings from USBDEVIEW.

Conclusion
——————–
I have checked this on-line against other devices in the same category and this fairs pretty well against some of the bigger companies. Worth a purchase for sure.
